Susanna and Matt's Wedding

St Matthew in the City, Auckland

If I had to have a groundhog day wedding (i.e. a wedding that you had to constantly repeat) I think Matt and Susanna's would be a likely contender.  What was so good you may ask?  Well, for a start there was no rain which is always a bonus. The couple were a joy to work with and clearly in love, which to be fair is mandatory on a day such as this, and accommodating to my vision for the bridal party shoot.  However, the real clincher was when Matt started to make me an assortment of hors d'oeuvre at the Parnell Rose Gardens - wedding photographers like to eat, but I digress.  Susanna got ready at The Grand Hotel in a super stylish room.  Her dress was incredible and of course, she looked stunning.  The journey from the hotel to the church was a 3 minute walk, and OH what a church!  St Matthews is next-level stunning and was clearly designed with photographers in mind (assuming time travel existed back when they built it).  It was a wonderful service held by Bishop Ross with some truly angelic singing to boot.

After the bridal party shoot we arrived at the reception in Parnell where the world's greatest cake of cheese awaited.  Dinner was delicious (thank you very much), speeches were heartfelt and that good old shoe game had everyone laughing.  A little dancing then home time.  Perfect.
