Natasha and Ray's Wedding

Villa Maria Estate, Auckland

From a wedding photography point of view, love and laughter make a wedding.  I'm sure I sound like a broken record on this point, but it's a cliche for good reason.  Natasha and Ray had both in abundance.  Natasha's sense of humour was particularly important on her big day due to the annoying presence of rain.  Flexibility is essential when the weather is misbehaving so we postponed the group shots to later and took our chances with the bride and groom session.  Plenty of trees allowed for a moderate amount of protection but there was no avoiding the use of the umbrella and the inevitable state of Natasha's stunning dress.  I've never seen a bride handle a muddy train as well as Natasha!

My highlights?  Feeling like Natasha and Ray were old friends, Natasha performing a Samoan dance, Ray's speech and their gorgeous children being part of the whole event.
