Libby and John's Wedding

The Officers Mess, Takapuna

Shooting a wedding with Adam is both enjoyable (I get to tease him and he can't do much about that) and nerve-wracking (he has very high standards for my photography work), I also get to watch him in his element and soak up the loving atmosphere of whichever amazing couple we are photographing.  Libby and John's wedding epitomised all of these things - they are so in love, and were an absolute pleasure to work with, and Adam had scouted some stunning ideas for their bridal party shots that made me cry with envy.  Whenever I get the privilege of writing these little run-downs, I get to talk about the girly stuff - and the style of Libby and John's choices were perfection.  Everything about this wedding day was gorgeous; first and foremost the bride and groom, the bridal party (different but perfectly matched bridesmaids dresses - love!), the venue, the day and the guests.

Libby and John chose to do their bridal party shots before the wedding ceremony... Midday sun is not to be treated lightly so we found shade where possible, snuck into a bar for a quiet one, walked along The Esplanade and then popped up North Head for a bit of variety and wind gusts!

The ceremony was held outside with Rangitoto as a stunning backdrop, and the perfect amount of laughter and misty eyes amongst the bridal party and their friends and family.  Followed by dinner, great speeches and some heroic moves on the dance floor.  Adam had come across the band 'Off the Wall' before and declared that they were incredible and kept everyone rocking.

Libby did warn everyone during her speech that she'd be getting everyone up for a dance, but not much encouragement was needed.

How lucky are we to be part of peoples' most special days?  Thank you Libby and John for having us along to share in your big day - we wish you all the best for married life.
