Rebecca and Ed'sWedding

Kumeu Valley Estate, West Auckland

What a wedding!  Every aspect of this gorgeous Auckland wedding had a feel of grandeur, and at the same time, a down-to-earth vibe that emanated love.  I know this is because Rebecca and Ed are the most genuine, welcoming and in-love couple you could ever meet.  Every time we looked down the lens, we saw them smiling, sneaking looks at each other and soaking up every moment.  Sometimes, brides will explain their wedding gown to Adam (a futile effort) but with Rebecca we were treated with a complete surprise.  She could not have chosen a more perfect gown to suit her and the day, a stunning mix of simplicity and tradition with a touch of sparkle, no guest in the room had a dry eye.  Regarding the details, not one thing had been left to chance which, if you know Rebecca and Ed, makes total sense.  I absolutely adore the look of bridesmaids in the same colour, different style, the girls' gowns for 'getting ready' comfort, the floral arrangements, the grazing platter and guest gifts, I could go on!  Particular mention of the Holy Trinity Cathedral must be made.  This church is breathtaking all on its own, let alone when it's filled with a talented choir and organist.  Rebecca and Ed's ceremony was made even more memorable by their personal connection with the church, and its choir.  The one downside of photography is that it simply cannot capture the beauty of the music that was made and performed in honour of this wonderful couple.  Looking at the photos from the reception only confirmed my assessment that this special day had 'wedding of the year' status.  Congratulations to you both, we are so happy to have been a part of your dream day.
