Alisha and Bevan's Wedding

Bennetts of Mangawhai

My day began at beautiful Alisha's home in Orewa capturing her preparations before the drive to Matakana for the ceremony at the delightful St Andrews Church.  Bevan looked to be in control until Alisha arrived and the ceremony begun. It bodes well when the groom is chomping at the bit (bear this analogy in mind for photos of the speeches) during the ceremony and is trying to speed up the process to marry his beloved. Thankfully the fabulous celebrant Mel Kerr kept everything running smoothly and the knot was soon tied.  The reception was held at Bennetts of Mangawhai in their absolutely stunning courtyard, and based on my ever-developing wedding style discernment, the table settings were perfect.  While I had scouted the surrounding areas in Mangawhai, there were some play-by-ear spots we chose for the bridal party shots... A little casual trespassing and 4 barns later we arrived back at the venue.  There was plenty of entertainment on hand with a brilliant slow-motion photo booth set-up and a most memorable MC speech which had us all in stitches.  A few quick shots in the evening light with the lovebirds and then it was back to Auckland for me.  I suspect that photo booth got one serious work out later on!  Congratulations to an awesome couple.
